With the Irkutsk Regional Musical Theater named after N.M. Zagursky, who is preparing to celebrate his 80th birthday in 2021, the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy Theater is connected not only with professional love for the operetta and musical genres. The leading soloist of the Irkutsk Theater - People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Yakovlev has been a guest soloist of the Musical Comedy Theater for almost ten years, having earned not only the viewer's love, but also the recognition of professionals. For the role of the Prince in F. Lehar's operetta “Count of Luxembourg”, performed in the Northern capital, the artist was awarded the Golden Sofit Higher Theater Prize of St. Petersburg in the nomination “Best Actor in an Operetta / Musical”.

As part of the virtual tour, each of the theaters will show five performances, solved in different genres. Irkutsk citizens will present the musical "The Secret of Her Youth" to St. Petersburg to the music of V. Baskin, the musical drama "Caesar and Cleopatra" and the musical comedy "Ladies' Tailor" by composer A. Zhurbin, the musical and plastic play "Anna and the Admiral. Love Story ”and the modern opera“ Two Queens ”by the young composer A. Svetlichny.

In the performance of St. Petersburg artists, spectators of Irkutsk and the region will see the musical comedy “Hollywood Diva” to the music of R. Benacki, the mystery “Bely. Petersburg” by G. Firtich, the operetta F. Lehar “Count of Luxembourg”, as well as the concerts: “Legar-gala”, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the composer Franz Lehar, and "Returning to Life", in which artists pay tribute to their colleagues who worked during the siege of Leningrad.

Addressing the Petersburg audience, the director of the Irkutsk theater Tatyana Mezentseva noted: “The current circumstances compel us to master new forms of interaction with the audience. For all of us, this is a certain challenge - to remain interesting to our viewers without the opportunity to invite them to the hall and give them live theater art. It’s great that my colleagues and I were able to find a way to support each other in such a difficult situation. The general director of the Musical Comedy Theater, Yuri Schwarzkopf, greeting new spectators of distant Irkutsk, wished everyone a pleasant viewing and expressed hope that after the quarantine was lifted, the meeting of St. Petersburg artists and Irkutsk residents in the traditional format would certainly take place, because he was sure: “Without a spectator, without burning eyes, without a single breath of the audience, a real theater is impossible. ”
