On August 14, 1974, in the part of her namesake Valentina from the operetta “The Merry Widow” by F. Lehar, Valentina Petrovna Sviridova, recently accepted into the team, made her debut on the stage of the Leningrad Musical Comedy Theater with great success.
So, a graduate of the vocal faculty of the Kharkiv Institute of Arts named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky.
Old-timers of the theater remember this charming, slender artistic girl with a uniquely beautiful voice of velvety timbre. It is not surprising that she immediately began to receive the main roles in all performances of the classical repertoire - Rose-Marie, Bayadere, Mister X, Silva and Maritza, Die Fledermaus, Frasquita, La Belle Elena ”, “Daughters of the drummajor”, “Donie Juanite”, etc.
Valentina Sviridova is a real prima of the operetta, perfectly mastering the art of "presenting" her heroine, denoting her belonging to the genre (lightness, grace, charm, grace, manner, plasticity, gesture).
It is not surprising that Valentina Petrovna masterfully applied this palette of colors in modern musical performances, ennobling the heroines of the Soviet era with them (Nina "Sevastopol Waltz", Nastya "Baby Riot"). And from a completely unexpected side, the actress appeared in serious modern performances by V.E. Vorobyov, far removed from the operetta canons, performing such characteristic parts as Tatyana Nikolaevna (“Brandenburg Gate”) and Singing in the Daytime (“Lizard”). And later, already in the XXI century in the play “White. Petersburg”, inheriting the traditions of the Vorobyov theater, played the role of the Minister.
Over time, Valentina Sviridova gradually switched to the performance of age parts, and this transition did not become painful for her. On the contrary, the actress enthusiastically took up a new role. This is how characteristic characters appeared, of which there were many: Murzavetskaya in Turkey Fate, Aunt Polly in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Mrs. Sowerbury in Oliver!, Clotilde in Spring Parade, Miss Madlock in The Secret Garden, Granny from the children's musical "Shush!", Anna Petrovna in "Kholopka", Lady Bolochkova in "Hollywood Diva" ... And for each of them, the actress found an individual approach that highlights the diverse and very vital character traits of small but memorable characters.
Valentina Petrovna is always not indifferent to what is happening in the theater. It is enough to look at the page of the theater in social networks - not a single event, not a single birthday of colleagues in the theater ever pass by the attention of the actress - she will definitely put a smiley face and write a couple of kind words.
Valentina Petrovna lives in the theater, which has long become her home, she is interested in everything that happens in it, she worries about every premiere, like a real stage master, she treats young artists starting their career with curiosity and goodwill.
On her birthday, we sincerely wish Valentina Petrovna health and good luck!
On September 6, the artist took the stage as Clementine in the play "COUNT OF LUXEMBOURG"!
