On May 5, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Victory Day, the theater planned to release the play "Firebird. War songs." Due to the pandemic, the premiere of the play was postponed to a later date.

The director of the play, laureate of the Russian National Theater Prize Golden Mask Philip Razenkov addressed the audience, who were waiting for the premiere to the last, and congratulated the veterans on the upcoming holiday.

And the soloists of the theater read the poem “Firebird” together.

Chief of Department of Literature and Drama Marina Godlevskaya was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation".

On April 30, 2020, at the 87th year of his life, Albert PANKOV, People's Artist of Russia, died.

Dear viewers! In accordance with Decree No. 127 of the Government of St. Petersburg, from March 19 to April 30, 2020, all cultural events with more than 50 participants were canceled in the city.

On May 5-8, 2020, the theater pays tribute and respect to the defenders of the Fatherland who won the Great Patriotic War, and invites them to festive concerts. The program includes a sentimental poem by G. Alekseev to the music of the Leningrad composer A. Kolker "The Firebird" and songs in which the heroics of the war, sacred to Russian people, are reflected.
