March 7-9, the Musical Comedy Theater celebrates the first holiday of spring - March 8. For beloved viewers, the creative team headed by the musical director and conductor - Honored Artist of Russia Andrey Alekseev has prepared a musical gift of enchanting melodies of the brilliant classic of the operetta genre - Franz Lehar. By the way, in 2025, the musical community will celebrate the 155th anniversary of the birth of this outstanding composer.

A touching violin solo capable of touching the most delicate strings of the soul, love duets that make even unfamiliar hearts unite, mischievous and spectacular marches, to which the feet themselves pick up the pace, passionate arias glorifying the joy of life and the rapture of love - all this is the music of Franz Lehar, which has not lost its relevance for more than a hundred years.

And the composer, about whom they said "there are three kinds of theatrical and dramatic music - opera, operetta and Lehar", was distinguished by a wonderful sense of humor. Therefore, in his theatrical works, the most coveted parts for artists are those written for comic heroes. And it is these numbers that become the highlights of any concert and invariably cause delight in the audience. And the main choreographer of the theater and director of concert programs Vladimir Romanovsky knows how to present them masterfully and with humor in the performance of the troupe's artists like no one else.

The Musical Comedy Theater is one of the few who work with pleasure and expertise with the legacy of Lehar. Today, the theater's repertoire includes four titles by the composer: "The Merry Widow", "Frasquita", "Count Luxembourg" and "Tsarevich" (a recent premiere in the format of a concert performance). The best numbers from these and other – no less remarkable – works of the Austro-Hungarian classic will be included in the program of the festive concerts “Magic Music of Operetta”. And this will be a bright and generous gift to the beautiful half of humanity on March 8, which will not leave any spectator in the hall indifferent.

Invited artists of the main musical stages of Belarus and Uzbekistan, leading soloists of the troupe, ballet dancers and the theater orchestra will take part in the concerts.
