In the year of the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Isaac Schwartz, the Musical Comedy Theater presents a large concert dedicated to this wonderful musician.

“Straw Hat” and “White Sun of the Desert”, “Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha” and “The Incredible Bet” - these, as well as dozens of other Soviet films, are unthinkable without one very important component: the music of Isaac Schwartz. Spiritual and imaginative, intellectual and emotional melodies went beyond the cinema and took on an independent life, remaining beloved decades after their appearance on the screen. During his long and fruitful life, the composer wrote several major symphonic works, two ballets, music for dramatic performances and more than 120 films, becoming truly popular.

For the Theatre of Musical Comedy, this concert will be the first big meeting with Schwartzs music. As part of the program, the soloists of the troupe, accompanied by the theater orchestra under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Andrei Alekseev, will perform songs from films, and ballet dancers will present choreographic miniatures to the composer instrumental music
