The St. Petersburg  Musical-Drama Theatre "Blue Bird"and the St. Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy are set to present a major premiere: the rock musical "The Two Captains".

For the first time, audiences will see a production featuring songs by Vadim Samoylov and the band Agatha Christie. The premiere performances will take place at the Theatre of Musical Comedy with Vadim Samoylov participating.

Based on Veniamin Kaverins novel  "The Two Captains", the musical tells a story of love, heroism, and tragedy involving three individuals—a narrative familiar to everyone since their school days. Pilot Alexander Grigoryev, his wife Katya, and the careerist Mikhail Romashov—who is in love with her—are bound together by the mystery surrounding the death of Katyas father, Captain Tatarinov (the discoverer of Severnaya Zemlya), and a tale of profound betrayal driven by the possessive love of the captain's brother, Nikolai.

Vadim Samoylov is scheduled to participate in the premiere performances on October 24 and 25.
