Shumaev Igor

Was born in Ryazan. Primary musical education he received in Children music school. He was participating in performances of Children musical theatre. Then he graduated Ryazan musical college n.a. brothers G. and A. Pirogovy.

In 2004 he entered and in 2009 he graduated with honors Moscow conservatoire n.a. P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of solo singing by A.A. Loshak). He was a bursar of Foundation n.a. D.D. Shostakovich. In opera theatre of conservatoire he performed with success in parts of Onegin (“Eugeny Onegin” P. Tchaikovsky) and Marcel (“La Boheme” G. Puccini). After graduating of conservatoire he started the post-graduate course. In 2009 he took part in International festival “Devoted to 100-anniversary of birth of Francis Poulenc” in which program he became one of the first Russian performers of several vocal works of composer.

In October 2009 he was invited in Saint-Petersburg theatre of Musical comedy where he made his debut in the part of Nikita Baturin ("The Bondmaid" N. Strelnikov).

Nowadays his repertoire includes parts of: Mister X and Henri Murger ("Mister X" and "The Violet of Montmartre" I. Kalman), Averin ("Sevastopol waltz" K. Listov), Henrih Eisenstein ("The Bat" by J. Strauss), Nikolka ("Womanish revolt" by E. Ptichkin), Rene ("The Count of Luxembourg" by F. Lehar), Ivan Kazimirovich Gus'-Pleshakovsky ("Grooms" by I. Dunaevsky), Alexander Ivanovich Dudkin («Bely. Petersburg.» by G. Firtich).
